5 Lessons From the 1400 Burpee in 30-Days Challenge

I did 1400 burpees in 30 days. Here is what I have learned.

Many people have set fitness goals.

Wouldn’t it be nice to look as jacked as Bruce Lee?

Or one of the other fitness icons?

And yet, most people fail to achieve this goal. One part, of course, is the misconception that without effort, a dream body is feasible.

Bruce Lee trained every day for more than 8 hours per day, and this amount of training is the effort needed to look like Bruce Lee.

We don't need to look like Bruce Lee as long as you don’t want to be the next action hero in a movie.

Then you have to put the hard work into it as Bruce Lee did:

Training 8 hours per day — every single day.

What I consider necessary for myself is staying fit and healthy, which needs only a bit of exercise every day. Gyms are fun, and I do prefer group training. Most of the group settings last a minimum of 1 hour; looking at martial arts, it’s two hours, which for many people is not feasible to keep up every day due to other chores.

In the days of the coronavirus epidemic, the entire game changed for everybody…
