The basics are what work.

Unfortunately, social media sometimes overcomplicates everything.

I’m not sure why people indulge in odd movements — or bypass the exercises we naturally perform daily.

These range from:

  • Getting up from a chair
  • Lifting things from the floor
  • Sitting on the chair (or on the toilet!)
  • Walking, hills and stairs
  • Leaning side to side, upwards and down

Since we do these every day, the best movements in the gym would be similar whilst adding some resistance.

For example

  • Deadlift
  • Squat
  • Romanian deadlift
  • Bench press
  • Push up
  • Bicep curl
  • Tricep dip

And the list goes on.
