6-Month Experiment: No Alcohol
Life is more enjoyable without it.
Alcohol disrupts sleep, makes me feel unpleasant, increases my heart rate, dehydrates me, and steals money while offering $0 of unique value.
So why drink alcohol?
It tastes good and is a root of human culture. Even if you don’t drink alcohol, it’s almost impossible not to be around it.
I’m a sucker for a well-crafted mojito with only a hint of sugar. Cider and wine also please my palate. When I’m with others who are drinking, I may or may not be doing the same. My alcohol consumption is random.
I enjoyed one sip of my friend’s wine on July 4 at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant in Disney World and one glass the day before. My 6-month hiatus from alcohol started on July 5.
Champagne may flow down my throat at Midnight on January 1, 2023. Either way, my hiatus from alcohol will likely continue into 2023 and beyond.
Life is fun without drinking alcohol, even you’re if surrounded by it.
