Did you know that according to legend, a goat herder named Kaldi discovered the potential of the much-beloved coffee bean?

Imagine you’re herding a trip of goats enjoying the Ethiopian landscape, watching them eat what appears to be a berry from a tree. Afterward, the goats were so full of energy they weren’t able to sleep during the night.

That’s the power of coffee. A drink that is the most consumed worldwide with around 166.3 million 60 kilogram bags consumed just in 2021. A number that keeps increasing each year.

That’s a lot of coffee cups. But, you may wonder, is coffee healthy or bad for you?

There’s more to coffee than just drinking it. There’s an art in its brewing methods and its servings. People drink it while it is hot or cold, some add a little bit of alcohol, and some decorate the cups with beautiful designs for a nice presentation. It has become an art form.

But there are two sides of the coin in all aspects of life, and coffee isn’t the exception. There are positive and negative consequences of caffeine consumption and alternatives we can explore, so we can live our best lives.
