Do You Need to Workout Every Day to See Results?
Find out if you get better results working out just three days a week.
I was recently asked to write a blog for obé Fitness about a common question they get asked by their community: Do you need to work out every single day to see results?
That assignment got me thinking: why is there so much confusion around exercise frequency? I think it’s because many people (especially women IMHO) obsess over the details — trying to do everything perfectly and sometimes missing the bigger picture.
No judgement. I was in this boat for years. I would spend hours reading blogs (and forums lol shoutout bodybuilding.com) trying to decipher whether I should workout 3 days a week or just send it and do the full 7. I came to the (misled) conclusion that more is better. Right?
Unfortunately, not right.
Once I got my personal training certification and then a master’s degree that heavily focused on sports nutrition and all that goes into exercise recovery etc., I developed a very informed opinion about how often you should train.
I personally do actual workouts 3 days a week (strength training, Pilates, running, usually.) and then stay active most other days with a nice little beach walk.
