The Carnivore Diet has recently picked up a lot of traction, especially with Shawn Baker’s feature on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast in 2017.

I first heard about it from Joe Rogan himself, and then became excessively more familiar with it when my roommate decided to try it over the past year during quarantine.

After around seven or eight months on the diet, mixed with daily workouts and intermittent fasting, my roommate lost 40 pounds. He toned right up, and looks the best he’s looked in years.

So I decided to give it a shot for two weeks to see if I noticed a difference and to see how I felt.

The idea behind the Carnivore Diet is to eat almost exclusively protein and fat. No carbs, no sugar, no alcohol…
