How to Take a Cold Shower and Not Totally Hate It
A step by step guide.
All those bros taking 5 a.m. cold showers? Why let them have all the fun, when cold showers…
- Wake you up
- Increase circulation
- Activate sexy-sounding “brown fat” that can increase lifespan
- Allow you to preach to people who have “normal” showers! Losers!
But how do you actually turn that tap to the blue dot, every morning?
You need a system!
My system stems mostly from Wim Hof (aka The Iceman), but also from my own trial and error over the last three years.
Try it out!
Disclaimer: do not try this unless you are fit and healthy.
Steps to heaven:
- Shower normally. Clean all the things.
- As soon as you’re done, start breathing deeply. This is the trigger for everything that follows.
- Take ten (or so) deep breaths: in through the nose, out through the mouth. Stop before you get dizzy!
- Hold that last breath in. While you’re holding it, step back out of the water and turn the tap to cold.
