It all started with a simple bl@@dy “notification.”

A ding that would send me spiraling down the rabbit hole of endless scrolling. Every time my phone rang, pinged, or buzzed, I felt this insatiable urge to pick it up and check it. I was like a junkie, always in search of my next fix.

I couldn’t resist the pull of social media, the constant barrage of emails, and the endless stream of entertainment at my fingertips.

But, as the days passed, I realized this obsession was slowly taking over my life. Whether it was on the toilet or in bed, I was constantly glued to my phone. I was staring more at a screen than I was actually living.

My screen time was a whopping 5 hours daily, barring my work screen time.

Plus, I was missing out on meaningful moments with my loved ones, and my relationships suffered because of it. My family looked at me in despise at dinner tables, in living room conversations, and even at family gatherings.
