Cycle Syncing.

I’m — obviously — late to the party, but apparently, we can ‘hack’ our menstrual cycles to boost our health and fitness goals.

As our hormones naturally fluctuate throughout the month, changing how we train and nourish ourselves can affect how well we feel, how intense our PMS symptoms, and whether we see better results in the gym — or at least this is the hypothesis.

But is it true?

This question lit up my experiment-hungry brain, inspiring an avalanche of other questions:

  • Is there research to support cycle-syncing?
  • How does my body fluctuate throughout my menstrual cycle?
  • Can cycle-syncing my workouts and meals make me feel better?

After going down a rabbit hole of research and self-experimentation, here’s everything I learned.
