I have made a big decision about my life in the last week (yes, I’m talking days here).

Whilst I love my life as a writer and have no plans to give that up, I’ve decided my life resume would be remiss without including another accomplishment.

It’s not that I think I’m short on a few life accomplishments. Before the Paris Olympics began, I didn’t know I needed this extra triumph. I would have never thought being an Olympian would be something I’m so desperate to do.

But something has changed. And suddenly, I have this uncontrollable urge to see where my mind and body can take me. If it’s going to be anywhere, I’ve decided, it will be the top.

Here’s my big decision. I want to become an Olympian.

I have one problem, though—well, more than one. But the biggest of all: am I dreaming of becoming an Olympian too late?

I will not pretend I haven’t jumped on the Olympics sporting bandwagon.

It’s the trend every major sporting code featured in the Olympics hopes simple people like me…
