In writing an article, our thought process is based on the past and the best information available at the moment of publication. It is also a time to second guess yourself and wonder whether a different approach would have been more effective.

Another lingering thought is how this article has been received by others and their overall reaction. Have the comments been positive, negative or nonexistent regarding the insights shared?

Reaction to Feedback

Although the responses have been generally positive, there is always a need for improvement. In discussing my article with acquaintances, there were several themes which became evident.

One specific concern was that the data collected can cause anxiety if certain benchmarks are not met. It has become obvious to me that some individual’s welcome this challenge while others prefer to avoid it. Denial is not an option when your quality of life is on the line in my opinion.

Another concern was privacy issues. Can this data be used against us? Since it is a personal question, I can only give my own perspective.

In the case of my Fitbit, there are security options to protect this information. Obviously, it is…
