I have always been a sort of ‘health nut’ from my teenage years.
It all began on the quest to control all the different allergies I seem to be blessed with.
While using immune therapy, changing my diet seemed to make a huge difference.
I was a vegetarian for many years as a teenager (about eight years), and then my allergies began to slowly surface when I started to eat meat again.
Funny how things start to accumulate in your body — such as disease or allergies and then hit you like a truckload of bricks during your worst moments.
That’s why I began my vegan/vegetarian journey again this year.
Not only to control my allergies somewhat but also to keep disease and cancer at bay.
I went through a lot in 2021 when mum was diagnosed with cancer.
I was devastated seeing her deteriorate and spend months on end in the hospital.
