According to a study conducted by Remote, a global employment company, New Zealand emerged as the leading country for achieving a good balance between quality of life and work among the top 60 GDP countries worldwide.

The study assigned a ranking out of 100 to each nation, taking into account various factors such as minimum wage, sick leave, maternity leave, availability of healthcare, public happiness, average working hours, and inclusivity for the LGBTQ+ community.

New Zealand secured the top position on Remote’s list by attaining a total score of 79.35. Spain secured the second position with a score of 75.55, while France claimed the third spot with a score of 75.34. However, the significant highlight is that New Zealand outperformed its neighboring country in the survey. Australia secured the fourth position with a score of 73.71.

“New Zealand being the first on our global life-work balance list, showcases New Zealanders as role models in leading the way for a brighter future of work by embracing this philosophy and offering the infrastructure to support it.”
