Carbo-Hydrate

To gain clarity around carbs, all you have to do is look right at the name.

For some simple science — carbohydrates are a macronutrient made up of sugar or starch molecules.

Simple sugar carbohydrates have a basic chemical structure and are digested quickly. Foods such as:

Candy, Syrups, Soda, Fruit juice, Sugar, White bread, White rice, White pasta, and refined breakfast cereals.

Complex carbohydrates have longer, more complex chains of starch molecules, usually contain more fibre, and take longer to digest. They are found in foods such as:
