When it comes to fitness, today’s overwhelming number of personal trainers and so-called “workout experts” will try to shove a plethora of information down your throat. Claiming to have the best and most “effective” workout plans that will guarantee you success. Everyone’s in a race to get the fastest results using the best methods. Often, that leads to disappointment and confusion.

There are millions of workout plans and routines out there. It’s overwhelming to choose one, it’s almost impossible to find the perfect one for you. As someone who’s like you, someone who has tried countless workout plans, I’m here to tell you that they won’t really work. That seems like a bold claim but hear me out. For a workout plan to work for YOU, it has to be built for YOU and your body. Now you might be thinking “ I don’t know how to build a workout routine” and that’s okay. That is where experimentation comes into play. I’m not saying all the workout plans available online are useless, they’re not. They are, in fact, very useful in experimenting with your body, understanding your body. Trying out all the different workout routines will help you build a connection with your body. It’s a great way to learn how to listen to your body. No one knows your body better than you, so listen to it. Don’t just absorb information for what it is, read it carefully, understand it, allow your body to react to it and then tailor it according to how you feel. It is all about how you feel.

There is not a single workout plan out there that will give you everything you desire. You must be willing to tailor it according to your needs, that is where the magic happens, that is where growth occurs. There is a boatload of information out there, use it to your advantage, be your own lab rat, learn about yourself. Mix and match, find what works for you and then keep doing it. Rinse and repeat, for this ensures you will forever be a student of your own body.
