Indian food recipes are available everywhere in the google, Youtube, TV and, on the individual website. To make this delicious food which all vessels used in the kitchen? In school, we were taught various metal and its benefits.

Some essential metal elements are good for health. Its intake is required to keep our body energy and blood pressure in control. Nutrition is not only available in vegetable, fruits and drinks. It is present in your vessel too.

  1. Iron(Fe)-

Iron is undoubtedly good for our health. Cooking in Iron vessel (Kadai) increases iron intake in the food. Iron is essential for haemoglobin. Iron helps to increase the immunity system and balance energy. The recommended intake for female >19 years is 18 mg, and for male, it is 8 mg. Iron makes your skin glow and hair healthy.

2) Copper(Cu)-

Copper is an essential nutrient to keep blood pressure in balance. It helps to create red blood cells. It contributes to iron absorption. It helps to maintain healthy bones, the immune system. Benefits are vast and visible on your hair, skin. Intake quantities per day should be 10 mg for man and woman both.

3) Clay(Al2O3 2SiO2 2H2O):

Clay utensils used in ancient time in Indian homes to cook food. Clay adds many elements like calcium, phosphorous, iron, magnesium and sulfur to food. It neutralized the acidity in the food. In Indian homes, the clay pot used to store water which keeps water fresh and cool. Serving food in clay utensil adds a touch of traditional time.

4) Brass & Bronze(Cu3Zn2 & CuSn)-

Brass and bronze are differently inbuilt. Brass is a mixture of copper and zinc and the bronze is a mixture of copper, tin and sometimes phosphorus, manganese, aluminium, or silicon. It’s usage vastly helps improve strength and immunity. In old-time, brass was used in kitchen and gifted to bride in her marriage dowery. Now, the steel has taken the place of these utensils.

How to wash metal utensils?

Indian society has moved from using metal utensils to steel because of its maintenance and cost. We forgot its benefits in daily usage. Humankind is facing many diseases because of an unhealthy lifestyle. In today’s time, many liquid soaps are available to clear the tough and sticky leftover in the vessel. You can use vinegar, salt and flour to make past. Rub it and leave for 10 minutes. You can also use baking soda, lemon and rinse with warm water.
