The underrated health hack

Not long ago, I turned 30 years old. To me, it was just another birthday. Nothing super significant. Many of my peers felt rather different about entering or being in their 30s. For some of them, their view was much more dramatic than mine. A lot of content about being in your 30s is centered around the body completely deteriorating and acting as if we were already senior citizens inching toward our deathbeds. While a good percentage of it is simply meant to be a joke, some people truly do feel this way.

It’s true that having unhealthy habits like eating a poor diet and being super sedentary in your teens and 20s will catch up to you in your 30s, but there are people who eat moderately healthy and get the recommended amount of exercise who still feel this way.

But why?

Lack of movement variety.

There are many people who claim to be fit based on how their physique looks; however, in reality, they move very poorly. Many people who categorize themselves as active, are actually actively sedentary. This means that while they may have their 30–60 minutes of daily exercise, but the rest of their waking hours are spent sitting, likely in the same seated position that requires a lower use of movement range when getting up and sitting…
