Your Pain Isn’t From Age, It’s From Time
Yes, there’s a difference, and yes, you can do something about it today
How many times have you said, “My shoulder hurts; my back hurts. I’m getting old”?
Or, “My knees have been hurting for years. There’s nothing I can do. It’s just my age.”
What if I said to you, “No, it’s not just your age”?
The Boston Globe released an article a few days ago titled, “Aging Ain’t For Wimps. Or People With Just 24 Hours In A Day”
The lead quote is, “I had to do 20 minutes of rehab a day for a muscle I didn’t even know existed.” and goes on to explain how no one could find time to rehab all the things that need rehabbing as we age and so there’s no point.
As a career strength coach, this article made me CRAZY.
I help people understand the aging process better, especially in how it relates to their musculoskeletal fitness. I’m obsessed with getting people to stop blaming every ache and pain on age. Age is one relevant factor in the body; it is absolutely positively unquestionably not the only relevant factor.
Changes as we age
