The Top 10 Songs That Inspire Me
A musical pick me up
For as long as I can remember I have always had a playlist I call inspiration.
I am a fairly positive — glass-is-half-full kinda guy. But I have days when I’m feeling down or when I am hard on myself. And that’s when I usually turn on my special playlist and almost immediately I can feel my mood lifting.
These are not necessarily songs I will listen to at any other time. Music of all kinds affects my mood. I like every genre from light classical to punk to pop to the blues and everything in between, it depends on the mood I’m in.
Sometimes it’s the beat that lifts my spirits but more often, it’s the words that speak to me. I know they will sound hokey to some people but for me, they work. Don’t worry, they’re not all like sappy.
