A tress never a keepsake or a charm
For your abundant charming ways
The aroma lingers after any rose withers
No garden blooms an ugly rose
Where does a withered rose live?
A preferred rose’s splendor adored sans marks
Alas, tossed alongside a fine compost
The strong scent of a withered rose
Awakes plentiful garden with bees
Hear a shrill shrieking rose — no bee deafens
All dwelling in your heart
Rambling Grandiflora and floribunda blooms
Unlike the antique ones
On the carpets or amongst the climbing hybrids
A few English alongside dripping Bourbon

Thank you, JoAnn Ryan, for providing a home for my piece, In Living Color.
