We are on our traditional summer visit to the Adirondack Mountains of New York staying in a cabin owned by family friends. My son and family are in the house on the other side of the clearing, so we share summer adventures with them.
We love being part of the summer tourist crowds here with mountains, lakes, rivers, and sunshine with cool temperatures. Perfect.
Mirror Lake: Two days ago we drove to one of our favorite Adirondack cities, Lake Placid. Our goal was to walk around Lake Placid’s Mirror Lake. Our grandson loves this walk, so he was with us. He was happy to spot a Mallard mama duck and her ducklings by the side of the water. He also spotted a friendly large (wooden) brown bear.
