If you’re reading a story of mine for the first time, I’m an avid photographer and have jumped on JoAnn Ryan’s writing/photography challenge here at In Living Colour to showcase pictures from my rather large stash.

My furless grandbaby’s ears are the perfect opening photo for the letter E. She’s a Sphinx, and they’re rather special because of their distinct features, such as their larger ears and lack of fur.

Many people are judgemental about these cats because of how they look. I’ve heard many mean comments, and they’re all unwarranted. Yes, they’re different, but they’re still kitties and as loving and playful as a ‘normal’ cat.

Kitty loves to snuggle; if my daughter isn’t home, she will nestle under this rug on her warming blanket. She was a bit confused with all the attention from her long-lost granny, whom she hadn’t seen for a year, so she was on high alert with her ears back.
