Long before I met my current husband, I dated a man who was really a shit to me, I mean, he was pretty much just a total jerk, but I think a huge part of why I stayed in the relationship off and on for almost two years is that he had a wicked foot fetish.
Seriously, he gave the best foot rubs! (At least until I met my husband, who is even better.) We could sit for hours watching a movie or whatever and he would rub my feet the whole time.
Statistics on just how many people have a foot fetish is obviously hard to say, but it seems they are considered pretty common, particularly amongst men — not sure if I’ve ever heard of a woman who has a foot fetish, although I’m sure it can happen.
There are varying degrees of how much a foot fetish will affect a person and how completely crazy it can get. According to this article by Healthline writer Kimberly Holland, it’s often tied to sex and sexual attraction.
