Dynamic Dunes

In 2023 I had the opportunity to travel to two different dunes — Great Sand Dunes in Colorado and Indiana Dunes on the coast of Lake Michigan. While they are both sand dunes, they are vastly different in their size, shape, and vegetation.

Great Sand Dunes is more of what you would probably traditionally think of when you think of sand dunes — vast, magnificent mountains of sand.

Indiana Dunes, on the other hand, is more along the lines of a hilly beach. Still very beautiful, but not quite as striking at first glance. Additionally, through the process of ecological succession, a diverse mix of plant life can be seen growing on the dunes, from Marram grass all the way up to large oaks and pines (source).

Dainty Dresses

One of my absolute favorite museums in London is the Victoria and Albert Museum. In particular, I love their historical fashion exhibits.
