Exploring the Tranquil Oasis of Bengaluru’s International Airport
Finding Peace In Transit
Imagine arriving at an airport and being greeted by lush greenery at every turn. Can you picture it?
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing this at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport Terminal 2, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of magical.
As I arrived at the airport in the wee hours of the morning for my flight to Mumbai, I was immediately struck by the enchanting atmosphere that greeted me.
Stepping out of the taxi, I was met with a sight that left me in awe. Having travelled extensively, I never imagined encountering an airport with such breathtaking design and attention to detail.
Being a nature enthusiast, I was drawn to the lush greenery that adorned every corner of Terminal 2.
From the moment I set foot on the premises, I felt as though I had been transported to a tranquil oasis amidst the chaos of travel.
The ceilings, crafted from engineered bamboo, further enhanced the terminal’s ambience.
As I walked beneath them, I couldn’t help but notice the hanging plants gently swaying overhead, creating a tranquil atmosphere reminiscent of a garden pavilion.
Even the check-in counters were adorned with hanging vertical gardens, further immersing travellers in the soothing embrace of nature.
Terminal 2, a testament to Bangalore’s nickname ‘Garden City ‘, beautifully juxtaposes the city’s natural beauty with the bustling airport environment.
The towering vertical gardens that welcomed me seemed to reach for the sky, providing a serene escape from the airport’s activity.
As I ventured towards the retail area, I was delighted to discover terraced gardens. Since I had reached the airport early, I decided to indulge and unwind with a cup of coffee, taking in the beauty of my surroundings.
Terminal 2 isn’t just an airport; it’s an experience unlike any other.
It seamlessly blends modern convenience with Karnataka’s rich cultural heritage, leaving a lasting impression on all who pass through its gates.
