Why do people love cats so much?

According to the Wikipedia,

Images and videos of domestic cats make up some of the most viewed content on the web, particularly image macros in the form of lolcats. ThoughtCatalog has described cats as the “unofficial mascot of the Internet”. ( . . .) Research has suggested that viewing online cat media is related to positive emotions, and that it even may work as a form of digital therapy or stress relief for some users. Some elements of research also shows that feelings of guilt when postponing tasks can be reduced by viewing cat content.

So I am introducing you to my best friend’s cats — they are adorable, sneaky, annoying, loveable and well — they’re cats!

Meet Ammu. Looks serene. But who knows what she’s planning in her pretty head? Or is she just hiding her toys? What is that behind her paws?

And here, Maya and Jirri are having a tete-a-tete. Clearly Jirri wants to know why we’re eavesdropping.

Maybe they should pick another venue? Yes! The classic water-cooler gossip station! Ammu made sure no one can interrupt their top-secret conversations there!

Jirri wants them to know what happened the other day when she was about to go quench her thirst…

Also, Maya has had news that the neighbor’s cat is on the premises, sunning her buns. Nope, Maya is not opening the door to her.

Mom has told them all about stranger danger.

She and her friends are quite content to watch from the other side. Leah the pup joins them — Leah’s a friend and roommate.

Oh well, says Ammu. Enough of that now. Gotta go get my cuddles! She will mesmerize the humans with her beautiful eyes!

It’s the only way to hog that bed when the family’s sleeping!

The sun has gone to bed and so must I 🎵

There are so many lessons to learn from pets, right?

  • Take time to stand and stare
  • Get your cuddles and hugs — so therapeutic
  • Love unconditionally
  • Listen
  • Talk
  • Drink water
  • Get enough sleep

All good advice for humans. ❤

Now, can you guess which animal I’ll feature next?
