It is summer again. It is mango time in India. Since, I can view these green mangoes (as visible in the photograph) from my bedroom balcony (of a flat in a housing society) whenever I stand there, it comes as a natural reminder for me of course. It may be added here though this photograph was taken while standing on ground floor only.

India: Largest Producer of Mangoes in the World !🙂🥳🙃

----------------------------------

Major part of the country (India) has to go through a ‘too hot’ climate during summer. This is why people usually don’t like the summer season with scorchy Sun and heat waves produced as its effect. But mangoes need that summer climate to grow and those juicy mangoes are the only consolation amidst sultry days in these summer months for Indians.

Mango is one of the largest produced fruits in India, grown in an area of 1.23 million hectares land with an annual production of almost 10.99 million tonnes. This accounts for more than 55% of the world’s mango production. It may also be noted that in terms of mango production India surpasses others not only in quantity but in quality as well.
