Agra is known for its beautiful marble carvings. It is not easy to chisel and design on marble.
Everywhere you see a lot of inlay work as well done in marble.
I was enamored when I saw some amazing pieces of work. I could not take my eyes away from the captivating sight of the marble elephant as soon as I entered the hotel. This indeed was a masterpiece.
So many female poses were portrayed on the elephant. I observed a Goddess laying down, another standing, a sitting lady, and many other poses.
This was one of the most elegant and captivating pieces of work that I have seen. I thought I must show this so more and more people could enjoy the beauty of marble work.
The second photo is of the intricate elephants and designs on a beautiful marble sideboard. The two little elephants and multiple small and big artwork were fitted on a marble stand. It was so intricately designed.
The amazing marble lion standing on a ball was very captivating. The hair and tail were so well carved. I also found the one big top tooth of the lion very interesting.
I entered an arts and crafts showroom. I saw so many marble inlay works on various kinds of plates. Many tourists found it worth buying and taking it home. I also brought a small and captivating plate home and a little Taj Mahal model home.

I wonder if the artist was acclaimed for the work that they did and the shopkeepers sold it for a wild price pocketing the profits.
