My neck of the woods has been experiencing heavy rain and flooding for several days now. As soon as the rains began to subside, I took the opportunity to go for a walk and snap some pictures for my readers.

In my experience, nature often seems to come alive after heavy rains.

Lakes, streams, and ponds are replenished.

Wildlife, such as birds, ducks, and other creatures, enjoy the water and the refreshed environment. It is typical to see an increase in bird activity.

Egrets, with their elegant appearance, are pretty common here. Usually, they are solitary creatures. However, after days of rain, they become even more visible than usual.

Spotting Egyptian geese is also a special treat. These geese are not as common in North America as other wildlife species.

I have also noticed increased bunny sightings sometimes in certain locations. The heavy rains and flooding…
