Inside The Real Alcazar Of Seville!
It’s October. We are in Madrid. The weather is good. We took a flight to Seville from Madrid. Seville is a beautiful city.
Today we will take a peek at a UNESCO World Heritage site in Seville. It was built in the 8th century, this is a must-visit attraction of Seville.
The Alcazar is the finest example of Mudejar architecture. Moorish style who remained on the peninsula in the late medieval period. The Christian rulers wanted this style in their palace and hired Muslims to build the palace.
Alcazar is a Spanish word, a synonym of a fortified castle. It comes from the Arabian word Al qasr which means palace or fortress. Many cities in Spain still use Alcazar to name ancient Muslim palaces or royal residences.
The Alcazar of Seville offers a wide range of styles. Combining elements typical of Muslims, Gothic Renaissance Baroque and Romantic art and some of the best examples of Mudejar art.
The palace has many rooms. The intricacy of design, the reflection of the palace on the pool is a beautiful sight. The gardens were the set for filming the Game of Thrones, and I was excited about getting a view of that.
In Seville, we saw a lot of olive trees. more than 50 % of the world's olive oil is produced in Spain.
The Alcazar of Seville called The Royal Alcazar of Seville is the oldest royal palace in Europe and is still in use today.
You can see some awesome handmade tile work in the palace. Tile mural, Moorish art, like a painting. The colours and hand-painted creations by artisans from Seville. The walls were recovered with geometric patterns and handcrafted ceramic tiles. Seville’s top tourist sight the Alcazar royal Moorish palace was rebuilt in the 14 century for King Pedro.
The Moorish style palace, ceilings, floor tile work, artwork the colours of tiles, the arches, the gardens the art architecture everything is simply incredible.
Be amazed by the beautifully intricate design. Tapestries are a must-see.
The smell of Seville is of blooming oranges. Full of orange trees are everywhere and a beautiful sight. Most of the people in Spain only speak Spanish and just a few speak very well English.
