When one lives on a lake and nature puts on a frequent show, you cannot help but try and capture the colorful scenes with a camera.

Yes, this is our dock in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. We face almost directly west which provides for some outstanding twilight and sunset photography.

For In Living Color’s June 2024 Challenge, (I know, I’m getting in right under the wire), I decided to post twilight scenes from one place — our dock. Barb Dalton inspired me to do this as she took a similar tactic. Thanks, Barb.

Plus, the other reason I chose to address the challenge this way was because I have thousands of sunset photos from over the years! It would be hard for me to whittle it down — and I’ll still probably post too many! To me, one shot is more beautiful than the next. (I know I’m biased.)

Moving backyard chronologically, I’ll take you through four seasons of twilight on our lake.
