Write For us In Our Footsteps
Welcome to the world of “In Our Footsteps,” a publication for people to tell the stories that shaped their lives. This publication aims to share works that inspire and teach those who come behind us. Give them guidance and advice through the stories that shaped who we have become. All stories published in the publication should be genuine and honest retellings of actual events that happened to their authors. We aren’t interested in fiction here as the real world has plenty of lessons to teach us.
We are looking for people who want to share their stories with the world, and below are the guidelines for submission.
How To Apply
Becoming a writer for In Our Footsteps is easy. Read the entirety of this article and then go ahead and comment that you would like to be added
- Follow the publication
- Leave a comment below on this post expressing interest and answering the question later in this article.
I check my comments often, so adding you as a writer shouldn’t take more than 12–24 hours.
This publication is open to everyone, even if you are a beginner on Medium or writing in general. We want to hear human stories and voices from people from all walks of life.
Requirements And Submission Guidelines
- Length
We are looking for stories anywhere from 500 to 1200 words. This way, you can create a deeper narrative than a short-read article. Long articles may be considered but are not guaranteed to be published.
- Topic
Your story should be about your own life experiences. We are looking for stories that focus on lessons, personal growth, and growth from experience. Every article you submit should be about something that happened to you and that may help teach others lessons as they read and grow.
- Submitting
Draft stories will be the only type of stories accepted here.
- No AI
No AI content will be accepted. It is as simple as that: we are a publication for people and written by people.
- Grammar / Punctuation
Please run your work through software to make sure your writing doesn’t have too many errors. I will make some edits and mistakes, but help me limit the amount present.
- Tags
You can use as many tags as you’d like in your stories and any tags you’d like. I suggest you use ‘In Our Footsteps’ as a tag or ‘Footsteps’ to help promote the publication.
- Pictures
All pictures should be from Unsplash or of the original creation. For all images that don’t come from Unsplash, please label the creator and give credit where credit is due!
In Our Footsteps is a new publication; this is my first attempt at something like this. You will get published and shown in the publication if you follow the guidelines above.
Any writing that requires almost no editing work will shoot to the top of the list for publication. Go ahead and apply, and I would love to hear your stories!
