On the scene: Aaron Sanchez’s homecoming

There was a healthy helping of Barstow at Angels Stadium on Saturday night. Blue Jays pitcher Aaron Sanchez was in town for his first SoCal series as a pro to face Dino Ebel’s Angels. More than 800 fans showed up just to support the hometown boys. You can read all about the events of the day here.

Here’s a couple shots I took while covering the event.

Sanchez fans were all over the place. Also, there were a couple fans of that Trout guy too.

My thought as I watched the Barstow fans take their seats along the third-base line — What must the regular season ticket holders interspersed among all these people be thinking? It was a cool scene for this former Desert Dispatch reporter to see.

You can also find some of the video interview I did with Aaron before the game here and here.
