An Exhausted Goldmine

A poem of a place your eyes would judge as beautiful and vibrant. As profits dried up, people’s vision changed into seeing only dust and sand.

Illustration By Dan J (Acrylic on Canvas)

The birds still sings its morning tune,
they are singing for dead spirits,
still driven by greed,
every sunrise they return back into a collapsed mine.
