Apples and Acorns

A poem about their hidden meaning in an old ladies dream

Many candlelights are dancing in tonight’s universe,
her dream was her reality,
one hour or two hours has passed,
she was still dreaming.

Apples and acorns are laid out in front of her,
instantly she knew the meaning from her past,
her love for nature had impacted her youth,
a lonely existence next to an acorn,
that day she cried of sorrow.

Time ohh boy did she wish for more time,
the youth had left her,
yet for this moment only,
she was young and vibrant again,
holding onto her acorn as a symbol of hope.

Her dream had meaning,
more meaning that she could ever imagine,
the lost days were about to be relived,
but how can that be possible?

She remember her apple and its deep meaning one particular day,
it was many years ago,
she was a mere twenty with flowers in her hair,
a young woman more beautiful that ever,
she had seen so many apples this day…
