Easter Bunny
A poem about bunnies in the wild and their reminder that fast, heartwarming feelings can travel between us.
Twice a day, a hare rushes across the field.
Every morning, I meet and greet the feelings it brings.
The small of nature,
carrying the best of emotions for us.
A hare and a sunrise —
every morning is the same,
the spot is the same.
I love to watch the hare run across the field.
I take over the torch of good emotions from it;
the rest of the day is now mine,
a mission of my life.
Please don’t watch out —
I spread the good emotions wherever I go next.
I want to feel good, to rush across the field in high speed too.
All I can do today is catch the sunrise,
to glow in the rays of the sun.
I’m not strange —
life is sometimes so cold.
I’m making sure my emotions are warm enough
to be a light for others.
Struggle come here and there;
my side mission is to have good problems rather than bad ones.
The goal now is to be glowing,
to be walking sunshine.
Perhaps one day,
I’ll catch the rabbit
running across the field.
