Silver Was His Life

A poetic story of an old man summarising his lifetime within himself. This was his conclusion.

Gold and silver,
the things usually pawned,
an old man sighed,
the emotions he experienced didn’t level up fully,
staying put at a mediocre silver grade.

Gold was the game plan,
these richest didn’t happen,
his mentor had disappeared,
leaving the words,
who want to be rich with sick emotions when you can become diamond inside?

Such a lack of self belief,
he had it grasped and controlled once,
then,
life shakes and bakes,
few stay strong through thick and thin,
such a man would be extraordinary.

Diamond emotions are real,
perhaps invisible,
an old man became friends with the chest fillers,
white beards and robbers of the sea,
a pirate adventure,
horrible emotions,
in search of diamonds.
