Lake Turnover
Still turning;
nearing
the
end of Fall,
my Fall
the stratification
of a life
made easy
or harder
depending on
the up or down
of things,
the perspective from which a turn
is taken
this turn
my turn will seem sudden
it will be
the epilimnion;
the surface caving in
on itself
from the bottom
upward
I’ll come
tumbling rising to
the offset beat
of the washer drum;
too many
heavy pieces inside
this turn,
my turn-
I will rise.
