What you call micro-content, is in fact, proper content distribution, and/or repurposing content natively.

For an old client, I used to write blog posts, and out of them create an infographic, short informative videos for instagram, facebook posts, tweets, podcast episodes, and newsletter content, I even used to rewrite them and repurpose them as guest blogs occasionally.
