And so, it begins.

Centurions! Welcome to the dawn of a new age of free trade, unfettered by the inefficiencies of the existing barter-era loyalty system and free from oppression under the back-breaking weight of accumulated unused loyalty cards. This week we throw off the shackles of fiat-inspired reward schemes that issue worthless points at will to consumers who receive little in return for their repeat custom.

Gone will be the days when ordinary, hard-working citizens will have to agonise over their decision to visit a new coffee shop, knowing that the loyalty tokens they hold for another, less attractive cafe will go to waste if they do so. Gone are the times of visiting a store that’s out of your way because six months ago they issued you with some loyalty points that will shortly expire. No more are the fleeting expressions of anxiety on the faces of store-owners who know your poorly-timed decision to redeem reward points will hit their bottom line, and now they will have to go back and do their sums again.

Incent will usher in a golden age of enlightenment, in which both merchants and customers enjoy the benefits of rewards that are truly rewarding, based on real digital value rather than IOUs reluctantly claimed and grudgingly fulfilled. Merchants no longer have to fear the dreaded spectre of Forward Liability and the complicated conversations with the Tax Man this can entail. Customers will receive Incent to spend or hold as an investment, offering risk-free returns in an age of sub-zero interest rates and Central Banking policies from the realm of Grimm’s Fairy Tales.

The Incent crowdfund begins on Saturday 1 October at 00:01 GMT. To purchase Incent and enjoy with smug satisfaction the knowledge that you got there before anyone else, register at www.IncentLoyalty.com/register.

You can also join the swelling ranks of Centurions on our Slack, or drop a thought into the bitcointalk thread.
