Incentive v4.8 is here!
We just pushed our major release Incentive 4.8 — with a lot of new features, but mainly we focused on improving working with files.

So, what’s new…
- File thumbnails —we automatically create a thumbnail for each uploaded document.
- File previews — Common file types, such as docx, pptx, xlsx, and PDF, can now be previewed in full — without the need of the software suites that handle each extension. This means you can view all your documents regardless of device — tablet, phone, or computer.
- File versions — Every file is kept and stored as a previous version each time it’s updated, for later reference, comparison, and rollback.
- Download as Word and PDF — Many documents and files can be converted to and downloaded as Word and/or PDF.
- Convert files — Incentive will give the option to convert uploaded files into native Incentive documents.
- Bulk download — You now have the option of downloading all files in a folder at once, and not just one by one.
The small details, with a huge impact…
- Added the “quick create” button to all pages in a space for quickly creating content.
- Added setting for controlling the default view of a Space (Posts or Content).
- Added support for animated GIFs and SVGs in Posts, Messages etc.
In case you missed it…
Over the past weeks and months we’ve been crunching making Incentive better and better introducing new features like;
- Support for Single Sign On (SSO) with Azure Active Directory and Google Apps.
- Folders — full tree view support with drag and drop support.
- Our Messenger app included in the Professional edition or as a standalone app if you prefer that.
What’s around the corner?
Well, we can barely keep this to ourselves anymore, but we’ll be adding some pretty cool integrations with Office 365!
What about;
- Being able to add a Word document straight there in Incentive?
- Update a PowerPoint presentation without leaving Incentive?
- Collaborate around an Excel spreadsheet in the Office desktop app?
