Thank you to the rotten banana peels or spoiled egg salad or excrement that provided sustenance those three weeks.

Thank you to the hair follicles that quit producing pigment cells sometime over the course of the last half-century.

Thank you to the person who left that window cracked or that door ajar.

Thank you fly, for making your presence known at the most opportune of moments.
