feeling cheeky today? ;)

As many of you probably don’t know, I just moved to Washington D.C. and there are people from all walks of life here. It’s one of the most diverse communities in America. Anyway, I met some new friends from London and had the very amazing opportunity to swap musical interests with them which resulted in my discovery of Zak Abel.

This very attractive man to the left is Zak Abel. He hails from England and has been invading my speakers all day. He originally had big dreams to become a professional tennis player, but realized just how passionate about music he is and gave it all up to pursue being a musician.

Zak rose to fame after being featured on Gorgon City’s UK’s Top 20 hit Unmissable. Now, he is releasing his debut album, Only When We’re Naked in July of this year. His musical style can be compared to Alex Clare and Maverick Sabre, but he has more of a soulful and effortless voice behind those freckles.

Unstable is the song I have for you all today. It’s a really great combination of a pop and RnB. The song feels liquid with Zak’s captivating voice and flourishes of bright guitar. Zak’s interpretation of soul music adds a new definition to the genre and is completely unique to his style.

I’m very excited to hear the rest of his new album and am recommending him to my friends! If you’re curious about his music, take a listen.
