Daily Dose // Rx 7.14
“Maybe I love you, I’m too young for that”
I first heard today’s dose while I was riding with the top down in my cousin’s convertible driving around the lake on a warm sunny day. Yeah, close your eyes and take your mind there real quick.
The song is called Too Young and it’s by one of our favorite artist here at the Daily Dose, Ayokay (ft. Baker Grace). Very quickly before I show you the song and touch a little bit on it, I want to mention that Ayokay was probably my favorite performer at Firefly Music Festival. If you ever get a chance to see him live, GO!

I love this song for many reasons. First is that the message behind this song is amazing. It’s not your typical love/break up song, it’s a song about realizing that you don’t have to stay with someone just because you think it’s the right thing to do. The most important person to love in this life you’ve been given is yourself. I can’t stress this enough.
“Truth is you hold me back, your expectations got me feelin’ trapped.” If you feel like the person you’re with is keeping you from doing the things you want to do with your life, even if you love them, you need to ask yourself if it’s really worth staying with them and limiting your own potential growth. It’s hard, trust me I know, but the heart heals ❤…you can trust me on this as well.
