The Metaverse Index Logo Challenge — $4,500 in Prizes
Voting is complete and Index Coop will officially be launching our first community-led product: The Metaverse Index — $MVI.
We are now setting our community and creatives everywhere, the challenge of designing a logo for the index. Entrants have the chance not just to see their logo propagate through the metaverse but also win a share of $4,500 in $INDEX tokens!
The Goal
The goal of opening this up to the community is to engage all the creative minds out there and focus energy on designing something that represents this emerging digital trend.
MVI itself represents a bet on the ownership economy displacing outdated models of value and distribution, not to mention the rise of virtual worlds where people are free to socialise, conduct business and explore. The Metaverse Index is community-led from the start; it is important to carry on that theme when designing the logo. There may also be things we can do with the winning design in the future. After all, the possibilities in the Metaverse are potentially infinite…
The Inspiration
To get your creative juices flowing we can share a few things that MVI makes us think of, inspired by the projects that will make up the index:
A future where the real and the artificial blend (Terra Virtua Kolect, Wax Blockchain, RedFox)
A digital realm where economies prosper and value is redefined by a new generation (Decentraland, Sandbox Game, Whale, Audius)
An adventure where you control your own destiny and the rules are equal for all players (Axie Infinity, REVV, Decentral Games, Gala)
An outlet for pure creativity and innovation (NFTX, Rarible, MEME)
Creative Challenge Specifications
Name: The Metaverse Index Logo Challenge
Description: A creative challenge where creators are encouraged to design a logo for our latest index product, with Index Coop contributors deciding on a shortlist before judging the top 3.
Logo Format:
- Square or circle shape
- Vector-based (i.e. SVG file format)
Reward: $4500 worth of INDEX. This is ~125 INDEX @ $38.33 as of Mar 25th 2021.
- 1st: 75 INDEX +, of course, being chosen as the logo for MVI!
- 2nd: 40 INDEX
- 3rd: 10 INDEX
Keeping it Fair: In order to keep the competition fair, if anyone is suspected to be cheating by botting or creating inorganic content through fake accounts, judges will reserve the right to remove that participant from getting a prize. Entries made after closing time will not be eligible.
Dates: 7 days from 26th March to 23:00 UTC 2nd April
Rules:
- When submitting, you must follow @indexcoop on Twitter and must add #MetaverseIndex to the tweet so we can find the submissions
- Submissions should be in keeping with Index Coop principles
- There are no limits to the number of submissions you can make
Judging:
- A shortlist of 6 entries will be created based on likes/retweets of submissions
- Judges including the Treasury Committee and Methodologists (DFC, Verto) will choose the top 3
