Famous Actor and Director Ramesh Aravind gets quizzed by our host Ashwin Karthik on his career illustrious career in the movie industry.
It was a special weekend for everyone in Bengaluru. For the award winning Actor, Director and TV host, Ramesh Aravind, the tables had turned. He was used to interviewing famous personalities on his famous Zee Kannada Show, Weekend with Ramesh. But what he wasn’t expecting was India Inclusion Summit’s own host and speaker Ashwin Karthik to interview him live in front of 700 people in the audience. What this resulted in was a fun and special ‘Weekend with Ashwin’ show. Here is a gist of the show presented in Q&A fashion
Ashwin: ‘How was the transformation from a qualified engineer to a doctor?’
Ramesh: ‘Cinema is my Aero plane and Engineering is my parachute! Thankfully haven’t used my parachute for the last 25 years.’
Ashwin: ‘Amongst actor, director and writer which role did you enjoy the best?’
Ramesh: ‘Each has its own attractions. The best is when you get to do all three in the same movie!’
Ashwin: ‘You played a Hero in America America. A negative role in Amrutha Varshini and a Casanova role in Rama Bhama Shama. Which of them is your favorite?’
Ramesh: ‘You are asking me to pick from the good bad and ugly. I really liked playing hero in America America!’
Ashwin: ‘You have worked with legendary K Balachander and with Kamal Haasan. Whose shoes would you like to be in?’
Ramesh: ‘Their shoes is so huge that I would be walking inside them and not wearing them! I am comfortable in my own shoes though!’
Ashwin: ‘Which show do you like the most? a> Oprah Winfrey show b> Weekend with Ramesh c> Weekend with Ashwin’
Ramesh: ‘All three shows are done. What’s not happened is Ashwin in Oprah show and I would love to take you there.’
Ashwin:’ How is your experience with India Inclusion Summit?’
Ramesh: ‘It’s the most intimate event I have ever been part of. There is so much goodness and love here. It brings back belief in the goodness of human beings. It gives us assurance that we aren’t alone. While at movie shoots, I always used to hear ‘Hero comes. Hero sings. Hero dances with the Heroine. Hero fights the villain. But today the whole image of a Hero changed. Each of you in this room are the real Heroes. I now understand the difference between a celebrity and a hero.’
