2022 — A Look At India On The Global Terrorism Index, Global Peace Index And The Positive Peace Index
The 2022 Global Terrorism Index by the Institute of Economic and Peace shows India has moved up two places from rank 14 in 2021 to rank 12 in 2022. In the Global Peace Index, it has improved it’s ranking from 150 to 135.
Global Terrorism Index
The Global Terrorism Index (GTI) is a comprehensive study by the Institute of Economics and Peace that analyzes the impact of terrorism for 163 countries and which covers 99.7 per cent of the world’s population.
The GTI is based on data compiled by TerrorismTracker and uses the 31st of December 2021 as the cut-off date. TerrorismTracker provides event records on terrorist attacks since 1 January 2007. The dataset contains over 60,500 terrorist incidents for the period 2007 to 2021.
