Must visit to explore Rajasthani architecture at Abhaneri [Prime Location]

A trip to a Historical village is on your mind. Then, a family vacation to Abhaneri would be a great idea. On Jaipur-Agra Highway, take a trip to a historical village in Distt. Dausa. Initially, the appropriate term was Abha Nagri, considered the city of brightness.

This place grabbed the attention for the spectacular geometric-shaped stepwell with the 7th to 9th century associated history. The Nikumbh Dynasty’s Gurjar Pratihar King Raja Chand built this stepwell to store water for summer and emergencies.

  • ChandBaori

As it’s a part of Rajasthan and that state has been facing water problems for ages. With this construction, you can understand rainwater harvesting is not something new revolution. You need to cover 90 Km to reach this incredible site. It’s a 13-story 100feet depth stepwell with a total count of 3500 stairs.

The exciting thing about this stepwell is that this stepwell has no support for iron clips, rodes, or mortar used to cut and shape. Those who have contributed to constructing this beautiful creation deserve praise and applause.

  • Harsha Mata Temple

Another famous spot you can visit on your trip is Harsha Mata Temple. Goddess Harsha, as per her name, was pleasant nature and spread happiness everywhere. The temple reflects a glimpse of the Sanctum architecture. There is a beautifully sculpted Mandap and pillars with delicate carvings.

Ruined parts tell the stories of nature disasters and the Mughal emperor’s fights. Thus, an archeological heritage site has been constructed on the boundary to preserve the remaining architecture. Nearby the Harsha Mata Temple, you can also witness Lord Hanuman, Lord Shiva Temple.

Best Time to Visit Abhaneri: You can head to Abhaneri this Independence Day 2023, as June to September and October to March are perfect.

The best time to visit this Bhangarh Fort is early morning to 6 PM. Don’t plan a visit during Dawn’s time. This is because the place is cursed, and some villagers have heard strange voices. There’s so much to explore and discover. Moreover, the area is known for its mysterious paranormal activities.

In these enigmatic attractions, you can glimpse 17th-century architecture and sculpture. There are water bodies, four huge gates, a garden, temples, and chhatris. Get a view of the place from the top of the mountains. No matter how haunted this place is but whenever visitors search for picnic getaways on weekends or holidays.

It appears in search results. You wouldn’t know where your 4–5 hours have gone. From Abhaneri to Bhangarh, it takes 1 hour 10min to cover 38 Km.

Now you can wrap up your trip and return to Jaipur to explore more or head directly to your city with a box of memories!

To explore Jaipur, you need to come here again. For now, you must visit Hawa Mahal, Kanch Mandir, and The City Palace, which you can cover in one day.
