With our Bangla Bandhu traveling for one off test, India batting in the first inning, two batsmen scoring century and the run machine scoring a double, Ashwin reaching 250 wickets, what more do you expect to happen? Not to take away from the Indian boys as they have been consistently displaying their skills and especially the home series working to their advantage.
Even the two-comeback men did justice of their selection after injury. Rahane scored a comfortable looking 82, while the wicket keeper Saha scored a wonderful century.
For the Bangla Tigers, their seasoned players Shakib Al Hasan and the wicketkeeper batsmen captain Mushfiqur Rahim came to the rescue after an early setback keeping the hope going.
Having scored a mammoth total of 687 in the first innings and bundling the Bangladeshi batsmen at 388, Umesh Yadav bowled his heart out in the first innings. His figures just show 3 wickets to his credit, but ask Shakib Al Hasan, he has a different story to tell about Umesh who was all guns blazing at the batsmen.
In the second innings, some of the batsmen gave a start, could not maintain the momentum. The visitors could not handle the spin twin of Ashwin and Jadeja who shared 8 wickets amongst them, sharing 4 apiece. An innings defeat by a huge margin of 208 runs on the last day surely does not speak well about the ability of the Bangladeshi batsmen’s skills to stick on to the wicket with grit and determination.
Playing one off test match does not do justice to Bangladesh team, its’ just swimming against the tide and its Make Hay While The Sun Shine for the Indians!
