1).Age Limit:-

There are two category for which the age limit is set based on the following:-

b).For Arts Background Individuals:- BA/MA.(with or without B.Ed) with the following subjects English Literature, Political Science, Hindi, Literature, Economics, Urdu Literature, History, Mathematics, Psychology, Geography and Sociology.

1).Screening:-

Candidate who are selected after they are found to be eligible for the selection will be screened and the documents verification will be conducted by the authorities.The cadets are required to produce every documents that will be asked to produce.

2).Physical Test/Physical Fitness Test:-

The candidates will be examined for their physical fitness test and the physical measurements will be conducted for the criteria as prescribed for the physical requirements. The physical fitness will consist for the following physical tasks such as the :-

• Running:- 1. 6 k.m with in 6 minutes 30 seconds.
• Pull ups:- Minimum of 6 pull up is to be completed by the candidates.
• Zig Zag Balancing:- Required to complete the task.
• 9 feet ditch:- Required to complete the task in order to pass the physical fitness test.

The physical measurement will be conducted on the following criteria:-

1. Height:- 162 cm (Western Region), 160 cm (Eastern Region), 162 cm (Rest of the country).
2. Chest:- 77 cm(Western Region) , 77 cm(Eastern Region) & 77 cm (Rest of the country).
3. Weight:- 48 kg (Western Region ) ,48 kg(Eastern) & 50 kg (Rest of the country).

The physical measurement criteria will vary from region to region and the category of the cadets.

3).Medical Test:-

Only those cadets who clear their physical test will be gather for the medical test which is based on the medical; standards and the medical health of the candidates.
The candidates must be medically fit to be able to clear the medical test as required under the medical criteria as prescribed by the selection board for the selection. The candidates will be examined under the medical criteria of:-

• Medical health:
• Mental Health:
• Eye sight:
• Oral health:
• Hearing Ability:-

The candidates must be fit under the mentioned medical criteria to be shortlisted for the next phase of the selection process and the cadets so are declared to be medically unfit will not be shortlisted for the next phase of the selection process.

4).Written Test:-

The most important phase of the selection process will be the written exam which will be responsible for shortlisting number of cadets due to the cadets being unable to score the minimum passing marks set which is required to pass the written exam.

The written exam will be based on the multiple choice question and each candidates will have to score the least passing marks as mentioned below.

Note:- There will be negative marking in each part of the written exam.Therefore 1 mark will be deducted for every 4 incorrect answer given by the cadets.

The written exam will be based on to parts such as :-

Part-1:- This part of the written exam will be a common entrance exam for all the cadets,so it is necessary for every candidate to pass through in order to be selected for the next part of the written exam.
This part of the exam is absolute for every candidate who will have to clear the written exam at least with the minimum passing marks. The exam will be based on the syllabus of GK and General Knowledge and the exam will be conducted for the total marks of 50 marks and the passing marks will be 20 marks.

Part-2:- Only those candidates who clear the part-1 exam will be allowed or shortlisted to appear the part-2 of the written exam for the final selection of the cadets.
This part of the exam will be conducted based on the field or category for which the cadet has applied for. Simply the science back ground student will appear based on the written exam based on science and the cadets for Arts section will appear the written exam based on the the arts section.

The written exam is conducted based on the various syllabus and the topics for specific category:-

• Science:- Total Marks:- 50 Marks(passing marks 20 marks).(Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Computer Science)

5).Aptitude Test/Interview:-

Only candidate who clear the written exam will be shortlisted for their respective interview or aptitude test which will consist to testing the teaching ability of the candidates and the other test such as the personality test.
